Ubuntu 13.04(Raring Ringtail) Released

On Thursday canonical has revealed the new version of Ubuntu 13.04(Raring Ringtail) and the next Ubuntu 13.10 release named Saucy salamander. As Canonical stated we are more focused on polishing the unity interface for all touch smartphones and tablets,which are yet to debute in October with the future release of Ubuntu 13.10(Saucy salamander)

It is a bit disappointing to users,there aren't a major changes and a few updated features.It is designed to work on light PC configuration,extremely fast and response is also good with an upgraded unity shell.And now Ubuntu supports forty-two languages that gives more convenient to understand.Here are some of the features discontinued with this release, Wu bi has dropped out in this version due to compatibility issues with the windows 8, As the Microsoft has added extra security So it is hard to tempt the windows users.If you are a windows 8 user the scenario has changed it no longer supports to install with dual OS. Ubuntu website displays an advice for the windows 8 uses before download  Gwibber social networking client also replaced with new Social lens to communicate through social networking has a new look and features. Some pre-installed comes with Ubuntu 13.10 like LibreOffice 4.0,Firefox 20, Thunderbird 17,Rythmbox 2.9,Shotwell 0.14,Remina 0.9 and Brasero 5.6

Gnome is made an optional you can install it from the Ubuntu software center by search it in the Dash home  Alternatively there is official Ubuntu remix version called Gnome remix. Dash scopes are remained same and icons of it are redesigned with glamorous look(hovers).But there functionality has changed. It includes the Switching windows with mouse wheel makes easier to access,Right click option to scope icons, work space item will not shown by default as can get it from settings tab, and resize window by dragging to corner.

In this new Ubuntu version unity toolbar has toggle option ,we could search for application in offline and online from the dash home,added small change to file manager.Its components are all upgraded with Kernel 3.8,Libreoffice 4,and unity 7.

Ubuntu has made sharp release with an improved performance and high quality interface though it is hard to decide whether to upgrade new version or not,as next release in 2014 which will results in major changes.
